  Dice Rollers: Campaign Session 1 (9/16/26) Trouble at the Tilted Candle The Party: Aether - human rogue Alistair - human bard Fletcher - human fighter Hal - warforged monk Hindsight - halfling wizard William - aasimar paladin Our story begins in the Middle Shelf tavern and inn of the Tilted Candle. Our six party members have arrived there, each for their own reasons, alongside three other patrons: a young human man and woman sitting together, and a sullen-looking dwarf. A server runs between tables while the innkeeper tends the bar. As the characters settle into the tavern and enjoy some drinks, there is a sudden shriek. Four smoke mephits suddenly appear from among the fireplace and torches lining the walls, and attack the taverngoers. In an instant, the young human woman is killed by one of the halfling-sized smoke monsters. Combat ensues. Introduction to Horizon Bay

  Dice Rollers: Campaign Introduction to Horizon Bay Horizon Bay, the main setting of this season’s Dice Rollers: Campaign, is a tiered city built into the seaside cliff face of the Brightview Plateau. It has three “Shelves”: Top, Middle, and Bottom, connected by a series of dwarf-engineered elevators. Home to about 300,000 permanent residents and as many as 50,000 visitors and passers-through at any given time, it is the cultural hub of the region, and is often referred to as the Jewel of Esmon. The city is ruled by a council of seven elected members, who are elected for up to four three-year terms. One of these council seats is always reserved for a pirate lord from the free city of Flagrise, a city that was instrumental in the liberation of Horizon Bay from the Kingdom of East Riverrun.  Hello! And welcome to the Dice Rollers: Campaign Blog. This is where I, DM Luke, will be posting session summaries and NPC bios for reference between and during sessions. Before each session, I will share this blog with the players signed up so they know what is going on in the story.
